Join Case Western Reserve as we travel to remote spots in Indonesia's archipelago, featuring distinctive animals and wildlife, on the exclusively chartered, first-class expedition ship 82-cabin Heritage Adventurer. Our itinerary will visit three UNESCO World Heritage sites: Borobudur Temple Compounds and Prambanan Temple Compounds, Indonesia; Komodo National Park in Komodo, Indonesia; UNESCO Biosphere Reserve: Tanjung Puting National Park, Borneo, Indonesia.
Trip highlights
- Explore Borneo's unforgettable Tanjung Puting National Park in a zodiac. From a river surrounded by tropical rainforest, look for orangutans and proboscis monkeys in their natural habitat.
- Discover the Borobudur Temple Compound, one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world, followed by the Prambanan Temple Compound, the 22-temple complex, the largest of its kind.
- Embark on a ranger-led walking safari to observe Komodo dragons, Earth's largest lizards, in their natural habitat.
- Tour Bali's capital city of Denpasar, including the Bali Museum. In nearby villages, take in batik art presentations and a dance performance.
- Visit Pamulang Village in Sumbawa to explore local traditions, including a buffalo race.
